Victor Montori is a diabetologist and clinical epidemiologist. He is the lead investigator of the Knowledge and Encounter Research Unit at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.

His areas of research interest are clinical decision making in patients with chronic conditions (such as diabetes), systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and evidence-based clinical practice. In particular, Victor is interested in how knowledge is produced, disseminated, and taken up in practice and how this leads to optimal healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Also, Victor serves as the Director of Research and Education at the SPARC Innovation Program, a Mayo program focused on identifying new ways of delivering healthcare.

Victor is deputy editor for the Journal of General Internal Medicine and associate editor for the ACP Journal Club. He has more than 80 peer reviewed publications in top medical and specialty journals on his areas of interest.
